Winter Wonderland Challenge - Sentiments

I like this challenge as I think it can be quite difficult to make a card with the sentiment being the focal point, and I do like a challenge like this. I've used 'there's no people like snow people' which is from Anita's. Used a snowman backing paper to match sentiment. Made three large three tiered snow flakes which are glittered with Stickles. Glittered the background paper with Glamour Dust. Border punch is MS and glittered the edge and also added a bit of textured wool. Finally added a Christmas tree embellishment. Click HERE to join in the Winter Wonderland Challenge. Jeanette.

Blog Hop Winner - House Mouse

Yes, I'm showing off my prizes that I won!! Tee hee lucky old me. Just a quick thank you again to Heather for being so kind and the card is fantastic! Whilst reading Heathers blog I can across a really great tutorial using Distress Inks which I've not yet tried as I've not got the confidence but this has given me the courage to try it out, so do pop over and click HERE

I Love Promarkers - Lavender & Lace

At I Love Promarkers Challenge this week the theme is Lavender & Lace. I immediately thought of my new stamp S.W.A.L.K 'I Do'. I put the lace around the image which covered up most of the card which I have covered in lilac paper (whoops). The image is coloured with Promarkers and used Stickles frosted lace on the dress, glossy accents on their eyes. The lace was given to me free in a bundle from 'freecycle'. Jeanette . PS I have a problem with my camera at the moment so please ignore what appears to be a dirty thumb mark at the bottom left had side of the photos!

Cupcake Craft Challenge #126 Food For Thought

Another late entry but I just love this image, it always brings a smile to my face. At Cupcake Craft Challenge the theme this week is Food For Thought. I've used bits n pieces from stash. Used Promarkers to colour and added a bit of glitter and glossy accents. Time for bed now! Jeanette

I Love Promarkers - Kiss & Pear Tree Challenge

Excuse the shadow on the photo (it's not a dirty thumb mark). Finally there is a challenge to suit one of my little prizes. Over at 'I Love Promarkers' challenge the theme is KISS - Keep It Sweet and Simple and I think this House Mouse image is perfect for it. I'm also going to enter this into Pear Tree Designs (the first for this year) which the theme is 'Free For All' The image is called Wreath Love 02 and it just the cutest image. I've used some of the paper & card that was a Christmas gift. The image has been coloured by Promarkers and I've glittered the berries, and added a charm and some ribbon. Keeping it sweet and simple! Jeanette

Flutter By Wednesday's

Hello, I was sorting through some my old stamps ready to put on Ebay and came across this very old stamp which I've had forever! Put it in the box, took it out again, put it back and finally thought that this was in fact quite a lovely stamp, so it was rescued from being auctioned and has survived for another year. I have coloured it with Promarkers and used glamour dust to give a special sparkle, decoupage the butterfly. Added a flower and some leaves and thought the sentiment was quite suited the way it flowed up and down. I'm entering my card into Flutter By Wednesday's challenge were you must submit a card with a butterfly, Fairy or Angel.
Hope you like it. Jeanette

A New Home

What a lovely day was today, with the birthday boys here this afternoon. Harley loved his cake, and so did Lucas who it seems to have a very sweet tooth. So moving on, I've made a New Home Card tonight to fit in with a few challenges. I often use this image which is from PB which is called 'Haven't Heard A Peep' but left off the sentiment which is on the stamp. I've coloured the image with Promarkers, made some punched flowers, border is form Nellies die cut, coloured twine, glittered the flowers on the image and finally used some glossy accents.I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
PBSC - Card Buffet (love this idea)
Alphabet Challenge - K for Keys
Bye for now. Jeanette

How Lucky Am I

Just recently I've won a couple of blog challenges and this week received my prizes, thought I would share these with you. Don't you just love the House Mouse images, they are so cute and can't wait to stamp them up, but first before I do that I have promised myself to tidy my craft room (ha ha), hmmm let's see how long will that take me............far too long! Jeanette

Terry's Birthday Card

Not only is it Harley's 4th birthday tomorrow but it is also my partner Terry's birthday but I wouldn't dare reveal his age! He really loves cars, mostly F1. This image is from Stamps Happen and is called Custom. To colour the image I used watercolours, and bits of paper and card from stock. After I had completed the card I realise that the vehicle is american and I've used union jack paper....whoops! Typical of me but I think he'll still like it....well he is used to my dizzy ways. Jeanette

Harley's Birthday Card

Here is Harleys card that I made for him. He's just starting to like Fireman Sam. Both the boy's were watching clips on my laptop last weekend. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Harley's Birthday Cake

Sunday is the big day for our Harley - he will be 4 years old and I can't believe how quickly the time goes. Here is Harley's birthday cake. Just in case you do not recognise it, it's from Chuggingtons.

January Cards

Welll I say it every year, I'll make all my cards for family and friends so they are done, but never do leaving it to the last minute. So far this year I'm kind of on track. I managed to finish all of Januarys a couple of nights ago. I am hoping to have all cards finished by end of month so I can concentrate on my forth coming wedding in May. Above I have a card I've made for my mums partner. This is a pink petticoat image. I've glamour dusted the sheep and coloured the sheeps bow tie and legs with promarkers along with the text. The card below is also for the same person. My boys always call him Grandad Terry at home and he does like a sit down with a cup of tea and the paper. So thought this jolly nation decoupage was ideal for him.

This card is for my dad. Its a very simple card. I have chosen jolly nations again as this was ideal for my dad as he is off on a holiday of a life time later on in the year. Lucky for some. Not sure where I gotthe papers from. The text for the cards I've done myself on computer. Hope you like. Michelle

Harley's Birthday

It's my son Harley's 4th birthday this weekend. How time has flown. He is really into trains at the moment and loves Chuggington. So I managed to find an image with his 3 favourite characters on and turned it into a card. The papers I've had for sometime and again completely forgot I had them.

Here's another card for Harley. He's also into Toy Story at the moment. Both Harley and his little brother Lucas are always going Ooooo for the aliens in Toy Story and thought this would be a lovely card from his little brother. The rocket I got in the sale at Hobbycraft the weekend. Hope you like. Michelle

PBSC Week 133 - New Beginnings

Whilst blog hopping I've come across quite a few challenges with the theme of new beginnings, and of course I've got my new nan/granddaughter/baby head on and naturally want to make more baby cards, so this time I tried to steer away and try a New Home card instead. I'm entering this card in to the PBSC. This image is called 'frolicking frogs'. I've colour with Promarkers and used bit of glitter of the pouring water and some glossy accents for the water. Punched out some flowers and used letter beads to spell 'new pad'. Hope you like it

That's A White Card!

Darts is on the TV which my partner is watching so that's why I'm crafting until early hours of the morning, with catch up TV playing in the background. I had my eye on these challenges early this week, in fact I've already entered a card for one of them but I thought I'd give it another go.
The first one is for Cupcake Challenge - White is White and the second one is City Crafter Challenge - Winter White.
The image is by PB and called Squeeze Till I Squeak, and is coloured with Promarkers, a little glitter on the daisy and glossy accents in the centre.

Flutterby Wednesday

I'm not sure who this image is by as I bought the stamp second hand. I've tried a colour combination which I'm don't think works that well, but with a bit of glitter and a few diamonte's I think I can just get away with it. I'm entering this card in the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge. Jeanette

I Love Promarkers Challenge - Recycle

For this challenge I thought I would do a proper recycle card!! So I rummaged through my Christmas cards before they went for 'recycle' and managed to to pull off some bits and pieces, stamped a scribble holly leaf design around the edge of my card, coloured them with my Promakers (must get some more), added glitter and snow and here it is. Now, see what I mean, a 'real' recycled card! It didn't take long to make and I did have some fun, but to be honest I wouldn't have the nerve to send it to anybody, but I do love a challenge, so I thought I would enter this into I Love Promarkers challenge which is recycle.

Baby Girl Nappy Cake

I had the greatest news ever on New Years Day. I finally became an auntie. (Whoopie). So what better gift to give my sister in law and new baby niece Evie was a handmade nappy cake. The cake consists of 35 nappies, a bottle of Johnsons baby oil, baby lotion and talc. Two pairs of pink socks and a pair of white mittens made into roses ,along with a nice Royal Jelly set for the new mummy. All nicely finished off with some decorative ribbons and bows. Can't wait to visit and have a cuddle with baby Evie. Hope you like. Michelle.

To use Something New on your project/New Element.

I had been asked to make an anniversary card for a lady we met at a christmas fayre. And here is the result. I used a Sugar Nellie stamp called Simon and Lola. I've not used these stamps before as they belong to mum so this was a first for me. I was asked to colour the hair to match the ladies parents hair. Pro markers were used for this. The papers are my new papermania papers I've had stashed away along with the ribbon and flower. I always buy bits then hide some so my other half doesn't moan I've got too much and gradually get them out. Alot ofthe time I forget what I've brought. lol! I've decided to enter this card into Creative Inspirations challenge. I hope you like. Michelle

House Mouse Blog Hop - New Beginings

There is a great blog hop at House Mouse Monday Challenge and the theme for this is 'New Beginings' and with my new granddaughter born at 7.32am on 01/01/11, I created another baby girl card. I've used a Happy Hopper image this time which I've coloured with Promarkers. Used paper and card from stash, glittered the hearts, added a bit of lace and then finally added a pram charm. Do pop along and join in as there are lots of 'hidden prizes' to be won. Jeanette
